This is a man who is constantly hated by society, often betrayed by his own team if he gets too far out of control, seen as an endless harbinger of destruction.  But has saved the world more times than anyone, and is the big gun that is brought in when all else fails, but the worst part is no one ever sees past destroyer. 

Bruce Banner is one of the greatest characters of all time, because no matter how much he is hated and betrayed, he still comes when asked, and saves the world.
