I do not want to detract from this horror, but I also want you to know that lame duck republicans in states like Wisconsin and Michigan are trying to do the same thing NC did a few years ago, which is shove through a bunch of laws that defang the power incoming democrats can use to fix what republicans did.

and like this absolute fucking horror, the media is barely covering it. republicans are getting away with this shit in broad daylight. This is absolutely their policy. Cruelty for their own benefit is the point.
