geekinglikeaboss:

tumblr had adult content. We liked it that way. Not because we were after porn blogs (most of the time), but because the adultcontent was created by people who wanted to create content for us. The queer community, the fandom community, the creative community.
We weren’t looking for the kind of things you find on pornhub (no disrespect). We were looking for nsfw with heart, with meaning. Adult content that made us feel something in our hearts, our minds, and our respective genitalia.

It offered artists , writers and creators the opportunity to promote themselves through a social media platform which gave them a wide reaching exposure. The tumblrpurge effects not only their work, but their financial stability and promotional capability.

Myself and many others have spent years developing ourselves through tumblr It’s sad to see it go down like this. My hope is that the tumblrmigration will bring us all back together in a more suitable environment.
