Do I want to see Thanos wearing a t-shirt? No. No, I do not want to see Thanos wearing a t-shirt.
Not on a train.
Not in a tree
Not in a car.
Thanos, let me be!
I do not want him here or there.
I do not want him anywhere.
Who is this Jeremy Conard and why is he always saying things that nobody is interested in? Why the fuck should I care about what this disgusting abuser is wearing!?
They couldn’t have made Thanos anymore masculine coded. It is my understanding that men wanting to buy a farm after retirement is sth global. Is it not? I’ve seen/read this in many movies/books originated from different countries. And they gave him that. They gave him a peaceful happy ending after his mass slaughter. And in the trailer this shot is very reminisce of Maximus in Gladiator in that field. And I know Thanos is going to lose. But the fact that they portraite him like a hero, like someone who sacrificed everything which in fact was killing his daughter and then shed a tear like it means he really loved her, like he is some self-sacrificing saint who did all this for greater good, get on my nerves so much. On top of it all the motivational posters with Thanos’ pic which was created by Marvel a while ago just make me sick. And I can’t really believe no one is calling Marvel and Russos on their BS about glorifying a mass murderer and trying to make him some kind of an idol for men.
@lucianalight You’ve really hit the nerve of my irritation with this trailer. This is what was low key pissing me off about it, but I couldn’t put my finger on it earlier. This! That parallel with Maximus!
HOW DARE THEY COMPARE THAT DISGUSTING DILDOHEAD WITH MAXIMUS!
It just doubly pisses me off because I love that movie and that character.
Fuck the Russos. Unoriginal, massmurder glorifying asshats.
Apparently the only folks calling them on their bullshit are being labeled “angry loki fangirls” and dismissed as invalid because we appreciate the complex antihero villain…
instead of suckling at the teet of glorification of toxic masculinity and promoting mass murder as the epitome of a “forward thinking” villain. They are hiding behind the “well, he is the MAD titan, get over it” like that excuses the shitty writing and altered concept of Thanos and why comic readers loved him as an unrepentant villain. No one identified with him and they shouldn’t because he was conceived to be evil. Evil that good stood against. Plain and simple. They’re trying to subvert that basic tenet so they can claim to have made a popular, loved villain.
Sorry, boys, you can’t make fetch happen, quit trying.
